Philosophy

The Wee Wellington Preschool is a child-centered, experiential, play-based school where respect for self, others, and the environment is practiced daily. Our approach supports the whole child, fostering development through meaningful experiences and opportunities for exploration. Children grow and learn at their own pace, with a special focus on socialization skills such as taking turns, empathy, cooperation, and building friendships. All activities are designed to prepare students for school and life.

We work toward development in the areas of communication, problem-solving and social interaction. Our focus is to apply developmentally appropriate practices in language development, adaptive skills, social and emotional development as well as gross and fine motor development. We are child focused with no timetable other than to meet each child where they are and to communicate milestones and development to the parents. We work closely with families developing a plan for potty training on the child's timeline.
